Reading by the 8 poets of 'Poetic License Sonoma', SRJC guest port Janet Klecker, and their special guest poet: Naomi Lowinsky.
Naomi Ruth Lowinsky is an International Merit Award Winner in the Atlanta Review 2020 Poetry contest. She won the Blue Light Poetry Prize for her chapbook, The Little House on Stilts Remembers. Her fourth full length collection, The Faust Woman Poems, trace one woman’s Faustian adventures through Women’s Liberation and the return of the Goddess. Her fifth full length poetry collection, Death and His Lorca, is forthcoming from Blue Light Press. She is a Jungian Analyst, poetry editor for Psychological Perspectives and blogs about poetry and life at sisterfrombelow.com.

Poetic License Sonoma is a recently formed group of eight Sonoma County poets grateful to have met through an inspirational class in the Santa Rosa Junior College Older Adult Program. Though often a solitary pursuit, the writing of poetry, like all artistic forms of communication, is nurtured through the collaboration and support of others. We wish to encourage and celebrate this form of artistry in our region, and beyond, through poetry readings, like this one; the publication of our work; and a steady stream of new writing.
