Figure Drawing for All Levels: Feb 19, 2024

Join us on a bi-weekly journey of studying the human figure.

Each class we will draw from a live nude model, with short and long poses.

We will focus on gesture and capturing the fluidity of the body, rather than perfecting the form. We'll learn basic drawing techniques such as shape and volume, perspective, light and dark, expression, and composition.

We'll use charcoal as our medium.

This class is great for beginners who want to develop the foundational techniques of life drawing, and great for intermediate/advanced who want more life drawing practice.

About the Instructor: Nia Sturr has been life drawing for nearly a decade, and has taught drawing and painting classes to students of all ages. She received her BFA in Art from University of California, Davis. Combing her love of plants and the natural world with art, she's been painting botanical murals for the past five years in California and Colorado, where she previously resided.
