ART at the SOURCE 2010 OPEN STUDIO TOUR

Art at the Source, western Sonoma County's most prestigious open studio tour will celebrate its 16th year with the 2010 event on June 5-6 and June 12-13. More than one hundred professional fine artists will open their studios to the public in this much anticipated annual event.

Each year, the sponsoring organization, Sebastopol Center for the Arts, coordinates access to the working studios of top painters, sculptors, photographers, potters, jewelers, fiber, glass and wood artists, allowing the public to personally meet artists and purchase original work directly from "the source".

For the third year, Art at the Source and the Russian River Wine Road announce "Art at the Wineries" as a preview to the open studio tour. Art at the Source artists work will be shown at more than 70 wineries and tasting rooms during April and May 2010. In mid-May a preview exhibition featuring one piece work by each participating artist will open at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts gallery located at 6780 Depot Street in Sebastopol (10am-5pm Mon-Fri, 1-4pm Sat-Sun).

Participating open studios are in Sebastopol, Forestville, Occidental, Bodega Bay, Guerneville, Graton and Santa Rosa west of Highway 101. Color catalogs with detailed maps will be available free at the Center for the Arts, restaurants, coffeehouses, hotels, wineries, bookstores and on-line at www.artatthesource.org.
